D’Arcy and I are back fostering another set of kittens (4) with their mother (Marita).   The bunch came to us at 2 weeks old (mother’s age is unknown) and they all reached their 4-week birthday today (April 12^th).   I love that Woodford Humane Society named them after ‘X-File’ characters.   We’re starting the slow-process of trying to ween the kitten off of Marita’s milk with a mixture of formula and, eventually, wet kitten food. As of yesterday, they had no interest in the stuff and while they are beginning to recognize kitten litter, they don’t quite know what to do with it yet (another process that’ll hopefully catch on like it usually does with kittens – “quickly”). We’ve already had some interest from two wonderful families about adopting some of the kittens but these little guys and their mother would certainly be looking for a forever home in about 4 weeks.   If anyone is interested, either contact the Woodford Humane Society.
