A week ago today, Maynard decided to head to the great litter box in the sky. He was a good cat (for 97.4% of his 13+ years). It's amazing to think of how many things happened in one's life when you link it to the lifespan of one of your pets. From adopting him at a vet's office in Southern California (where he was found outside in a box), to starting my weather career (and moving to 4 different states), to getting married to a wonderful & beautiful woman. It's probably a good thing Maynard didn't have a will, he would've wished to be stuffed & then surgically attached to my arm. I do now have a better range of motion in my left arm but he will be missed.
