OK so you can guess from the title that I carry a Blackberry. Why I started with a Blackberry I cannot tell you why but I will say that I would have a hard time switching to another platform. I know the iPhone users are going to hold on we have the best platform and the loyal Blackberry users will say the same.

OK so you can guess from the title that I carry a Blackberry.  Why I started with a Blackberry I cannot tell you why but I will say that I would have a hard time switching to another platform.  I know the iPhone users are going to hold on we have the best platform and the loyal Blackberry users will say the same.  Then you have people who use the mobile windows platform and the Palm OS and I am sure they will claim the best.  I can speak of my experience on two platforms; Blackberry and Mobile Windows.  With that said hands down the Blackberry is the clear winner.  I have had three Blackberry’s; 7250, 8700 and 8310.  So you can say I cut my teeth on these devises.  I have also recently purchased a Samsung Blackjack II.  Why is the Blackberry the clear winner?  The title says it all, “Blackberry’s are built like brick @#$%houses!“.  These devices have taken the abuse I have given them; take a look at the 8700c photos.  As you can see this device was dropped, skipped and kicked so many times that all other devices would have cried “Uncle” and died.  This thing would not give up.  The 7250 was the same way and now my new 8310 is standing up to the punishment that I am inflicting upon it.  This alone is why I call the Blackberry the winner.

Since I have used the Blackjack II I can say the Mobile Windows has a lot to desire.  Put it this way, Windows is as bad on the mobile platform as it is on a regular computer.  It is a memory hog, it locks up on occasion (I have to remove the battery to reboot) and you have to be systems engineer to configure anything on the device.  Sound familiar?  To be fair to the other platforms we do have to take into account functionality, keyboard and other issues that MAY knock the Blackberry out of the #1 spot.  I have contemplated getting an iPhone, all indications are that it is a solid device.  Read my BLOG on Apple vs. PC and you will understand that I do like APPLE.  I would love to hear from people who have used various mobile platforms and get your feedback.
