I can’t believe we are going to delay the switch over from Analog to Digital television from February17th until June. Why are we delaying the transition? Because our new President and our representatives on Capitol Hill think you, our viewers, are not ready. Once again our government is wasting our time and our money for no reason. Why do I say this? Because when the transition happens in June, the people who aren’t ready now probably won’t be ready then. It is estimated that six million Americans are not ready for the digital transition. The magnitude of this transition is big and we(TV Stations) have worked hard to inform the viewers (you) that if you’re receiving a signal via Rabbit Ears(for the younger generation it means antenna) that you will need to get a converter box to receive the Digital signal. How can six million people not be ready?

Congress backs digital-TV switch delay

Congress voted Wednesday to push back to June 12 the deadline by which broadcast television stations must switch to transmitting in digital format.
The move, if signed into law as expected by President Barack Obama, delays the official deadline for the switch by four months from its original Feb. 17 date.
Concerns that an estimated 6 million Americans are unprepared for the change to digital signals prompted the delay……
