One of my biggest challenges is to keep up with all the information coming in from email, text and social media. On my phone it is fairly easy to do; I just have to navigate between apps. When I am at my desk it becomes more of a challenge.
One of my biggest challenges is to keep up with all the information coming in from email, text and social media. On my phone it is fairly easy to do; I just have to navigate between apps. When I am at my desk it becomes more of a challenge. If all you do on your laptop or desktop is email and browse the internet then it isn’t a challenge. For the rest of us it can be overwhelming at times. I have to change between programs, I go from outlook to my web browser then back to Outlook. Not real efficient having to go from program to program. I knew someone would find a solution and I came across a website that aggregates my email, facebook and twitter. It’s called Threadsy (http://www.threadsy.com). When I am at my desk I use this site and it is easy to use and I love the notification when a new message arrives, it is low barely audible ding. It is subtle enough that it gets your attention.
I have some issues; the first is it will not pull in my text messages. The second issue is I am having problems with my work email. I have been able to aggregate all my other email. This too shall pass once my IT guy figures it out. The only other issue I have so far is that Threadsy doesn’t pull in my LinkedIn account. At this time I am not concerned with it because it is the least active of all my social media accounts. The social medias it does pull in is limited but they hit the two main ones; Facebook and Twitter.
Overall the website is easy to use and extremely clean. If you have other websites that aggregates your email and social media I would like to hear about it.
