It is Kentucky, known around the country for its PNC/KHSAA boys’ and Houchens/KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 Basketball Tournaments. It all get’s under way this coming Monday, February 20th with the District Tournaments starting throughout the entire state. This year should prove to be one of the best ever.

The “SBR” was begun back in 2003 with the intention of spotlighting high school student athletes primarily representing all sports and activities sanctioned by the KHSAA.

Posted: 10:12 AM The Kentucky Horsemen registered the biggest upset in AF2 football recently. The Horsemen knocked off #2 Wilkes Barre Scranton at Rupp Arena 63-56. The upset was significant due in part to the excellent play of former Kentucky high school football players.
Posted: 9:15 AM As I look back on the recent National City KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament it has to go down as one of the best ever. Not only was the Championship Final an instant classic by going into double overtime, the coaches at Holmes and Louisville Central displayed an attitude depicting all that high school sports are supposed to be about.
Posted: 8:52 AM The National City/KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 Tournament is loaded with Eastern Kentucky teams that can really play basketball. For the first time in a very long time a team from Eastern Kentucky could realistically take home the big trophy on Saturday night at Rupp Arena.
