The Road to the Greatest Show in Hoops begins Monday

It is Kentucky, known around the country for its PNC/KHSAA boys’ and Houchens/KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 Basketball Tournaments. As I look back on the recent National City KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament it has to go down as one of the best ever. Not only was the Championship Final an instant classic by going into double overtime, the coaches at Holmes and Louisville Central displayed an attitude depicting all that high school sports are supposed to be about.

Mountain Teams Ready for the National City/KHSAA Boys Sweet 16

The National City/KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 Tournament is loaded with Eastern Kentucky teams that can really play basketball. For the first time in a very long time a team from Eastern Kentucky could realistically take home the big trophy on Saturday night at Rupp Arena.
