The following are some my 2010 top 10 memories from KHSAA state events and the Scholastic Ball Report: (listed in no particular order)

The following are some my 2010 top 10 memories from KHSAA state events and the Scholastic Ball Report: (listed in no particular order)

 
1. Watching Emma Talley, who set the standard for good sportsmanship in 2009, win the Leachman Buick/GMC KHSAA Girls State Individual Golf Title in 2010.
 
2. Small school Shelby Valley winning the PNC/KHSAA Boy’s Sweet Sixteen Basketball Tournament at Rupp Arena.
 
3. Louisville Mercy winning the Houchens/KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 State Basketball Tournament in Bowling Green in front of 4,500 fans at Diddle arena.
 
4. Highlands and Boyle County repeating as State Football Champions.
 
5. Harrison County winning the Forcht Bank State Baseball Championship at Applebees Park in Lexington, and watching Coach Mac Whitaker win his fourth baseball title.  
 
6. Lexington Christian Academy winning the Leachman Buick GMC/KHSAA Boys State Golf Tournament setting a scoring record along the way.
 
7. Remembering the numerous accomplishments of longtime Swimming Coach Tim Cahill of Model who passed away this past year.
 
8. Recognizing the accomplishments of Commissioner Brigid L. DeVries and her service to the student athletes in Kentucky during her 31 tenure at the KHSAA.
 
9. Watching Samantha Maddox of Lexington Catholic win back to back girls’ state singles tennis titles at the Hillary Boone Tennis Complex at UK.
 
10. Recounting the life of S.T. Roach a longtime civil rights advocate and boys basketball coach who passed away in Lexington this year.
