Ky. museum to bid on historical papers
16 mins ago - A western Kentucky museum is raising money in an effort to purchase the personal papers of two community pioneers that have a link to a famous novel.
Over the last several months we have talked about Kentucky this and Kentucky that! Good eating places, good day trip spots, favorite state parks, outstanding outdoor photography areas and real cool people; we’ve talked about it all! Over the weekend a few friends and I were talking about things or places in Kentucky that we have done and visited! I, being in the tourism industry, felt a little awkward because I knew I would STUMP or AMAZE my friends with all the places I’ve been too! WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are a few instances that blew me away, places that friends have been to, but not me.
1. WaterParks in Somerset and Williamsburg!
2. Toyota Plant Tour in Georgetown! ( plant a bunch, tour never)
3. Talon Winery and Tasting!
4. Kentucky NFL Hall of Fame in Nicholasville.
5. Court Day’s in Mount Sterling!
This would be a great time to let me know of other attractions, festival’s and cities that you’ve been to or, want to visit. I have been to every State Park, (52 of them ), every county (120 of them), every Bourbon Distillery, every museum! Is there one of those that interests’ you? Let’s put our thinking caps on…………….. and trade some secrets of places that we’ve been to that others may not have thought of………… we can discover our Kentucky backyard! TOGETHER!
