So far this tourism season we’ve been able to trade some good travel tips and ideas between us that hopefully have helped us find the best burgers, saved us money, edu’tained ourselves, developed new friends, discovered new roads or even walked old scenic byways!

So far this tourism season we’ve been able to trade some good travel tips and ideas between us that hopefully have helped us find the best burgers, saved us money, edu’tained ourselves, developed new friends, discovered new roads or even walked old scenic byways! I sure have; I have taken advice from many of you and gotten out to find My Kentucky! Since we’ve had several months to enjoy ourselves and we still have a few months more before cold weather comes drifting in, I thought we should have a poll.

I want this weeks post to be more real, not talk about green pastures and fun with the kids so much. Let’s get down and earthy this week. I want to set up a list of our favorites from several practical topics. Send a reply back that lists’  your favorites, I’ll keep a running tally! And I’ll post a few comments of course too!

HERE GOES!

Favorite Ky. State Park…………

Favorite Golf Course……………

Favorite Place to Eat a Hotbrown, BBQ or Ice Cream………..

Favorite Ky. Festival…………..

Favorite Place for a Family Reunion…………..

Favorite Lake………..

Favorite Factory Tour………………..

Favorite Bourbon and Wine Tour…………..

Favorite Bourbon Candy……………

Favorite Old General Store……….

feel free to add something else if you can think of it………………………..

I’ll post a daily count for each topic, if you think your entry is hard for other to locate, make sure to include at least the city or county. I’ll make sure the ‘winners’ know about your choices.

“buckle up, slow down and get there in one piece”.
