Beverage group: 18 mayors wrong on sugary drinks
Posted: 06/18/2013 - The American Beverage Association says efforts by the mayors of 18 cities to stop food stamps from being used to buy sugary drinks won't make the nation healthier.
Even though I despise cold weather and the wind and the sleet and the coats we have to wear in the winter, Kentucky’s wintertime events are really family friendly and fun! Many churches have bazaars, bean soup lunches, quilt raffles and the like. But, lots of Communities have events too! Ashland has a tremendous tree lighting display, Frankfort has the lighting of the official state Christmas tree, Santa shows up in almost each of the 120 Counties in Kentucky! WOW……………..cool stuff, I mean COLD stuff!
As hard as my office co-workers work to get the most up to date and accurate information on festivals, displays, events and their times and locations………..sometimes we get incorrect information or, just miss one! Like when General Burnside lights up the Island (it’s a State Park). It’s one of my favorite events, Of Course, Southern Lights at the Ky. Horse Park has become a perennial favorite even in surrounding states!
Since we have time to get events promoted… how about sending me your event information? I’ll post your events time, location and where the proceeds go……….right on this very blog site! Try to submit your information like this:
Event name:
Location:
Time:
Who benefits:
Or just list the City and the Link to the event information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll Go First: Richmond, Kentucky http://www.
It’s important these day’s to save a little money, so if you know of some great Kentucky holiday gift ideas, events and special things going on! Please list them here so everyone will have a chance to enjoy Kentucky and save a little money!
I’ll keep this blog up for the next two weeks so you have time to send in your stuff! Use it, let folks know where your event is……………
