'The Sopranos' mobster James Gandolfini has died
Updated: 8:38 PM - James Gandolfini, the actor who played Tony Soprano, has died at age 51.
Can you believe it’s been a year since Thunder Over Louisville and the Derby? Really, it seems like its only been maybe a few months. The nations largest annual fireworks show will kick off with the usual and outstanding air show around 3pm this Saturday! As dark approaches you can look for the sky to light up with fireworks! I’ve been to Thunder several times, I’ve done the private balcony from a hotel, a ticketed admission to a patio at a restaurant and I have done the blanket and sandwich thing. My suggestion is to take a blanket and enjoy yourself out in the sun, but don’t be in any hurry about getting home at a certain time.
I did go to Keeneland Saturday for a while, great day! This week we have a few events that you must consider putting into your schedule. The 22nd annual Chocolate Festival is happening in Washington, Ky. Yep, it’s a CHOCOLATE festival! www.washingtonky.com For history buffs………..Abraham Lincoln’s funeral will be reenacted At Camp Nelson this weekend. Hillbilly Day’s are going on in Pikeville this weekend! Stereotyped? Yes, but done with fun and a creative spirit for sure…………
I wanted to thank my mother Dottie for preparing a beautiful Easter dinner for me and my sons and brothers. Thanks MOM! Now, I have several “Hat’s Off” and “Atta-Boy’s” this week: David Shew with Gaines/Gentry horses…… Bill Samuels with Makers Mark…………. Lisa Jackson with the Ky. Horse Park…….. David Boswell for bringing me back some Moonlite Burgoo Keeneland for being Keeneland……………!
