It’s almost here, the Derby I mean! But, first if you are into camping, and I am! This weekend your Ky. State Parks will give you a free night when you pay for the first night. Just their way of saying thanks for camping with them………………good weather this weekend will allow for warm sunny days and decent nights I think. Let’s look to horses now, the internationally recognized Rolex 3 Day event is Thursday through Sunday at the Horse Park, it’s a great way to familiarize you with the terminology and climate of that kind of equine leading up to next years World Equestrian Games…………….pack a lunch and head to the Ky. Horse Park this weekend. Keeneland finishes up this Friday! Bummer! But what a great meet it’s been so far. Huge gate attendance and big payoffs at the window……………….
This year Gov’s. Derby Breakfast is called the Gov’s Derby Day Celebration! There will be food for purchase, like a buck per item, still cheap. And the focus is on family and kids…………huge areas for kids to make derby hats and paint and win stuff……………….goes until 12noon at the Capitol. Come on over. Bourbon distillery tours will be big this Derby season, Louisville’s Slugger Museum is up and running again, new and improved!!!! Must See!
Don’t forget to buy Ky. Proud products for your Derby parties!
“Buckle up, slow down and get there in one piece.
