Just the other day when I got off of a radio show in Louisville the host was complaining about the hot weather. I about smacked him….lol. It was only a couple of months ago that he was saying he couldn’t wait for hot weather! My point is; let’s enjoy the hot scorching temps and find a lake, pool, pond or whatever if we need to cool off.
Kentucky has so many great lakes, rivers, streams, creeks and other waterways that give us great opportunity to relax and have fun with our family and friends! Cave Run, Nolin, Cumberland, Kentucky River, Herrington, Green River and Laurel are all well maintained and super fun! Rent houseboats, pontoon’s, borrow a friends run-a-about or just camp near a lake and grill out! You know these days many of us are watching our dollars. Kentucky’s waterways offer us affordable and exciting fun many months out of the year!
Make sure to check out the Bluegrass State Games too this weekend! We really set the standard for such events for the country many years ago with the first state games. Check out the schedule at http://www.bgsg.org/ The first entry into the Kentucky Bucket List is…… wait for it…..
Keep ‘em coming in…….
