“Kentucky” As A Gift This Year? What’s That About?Yes your calendar is right this is the second week of December! I wanna talk gift giving and using Kentucky’s tourism industry as focal point.

Do you have someone on your list that is one or more of these things?  has everything, needs to reduce stress, likes food, likes fireplaces, enjoys golf, hikes or rock climbs… you get the idea! How about getting that person a  gift card from an outdoor outfitter at Red River Gorge! A gift card from Lake Barkley State Resort Park, Holly Hill Inn, Beaumont Inn, Wasioto Winds Golf Course or a bed and breakfast. In fact, I think my family should be prepared to receive Kentucky handmade items or gift cards from places in Kentucky, I do practice what I preach. So family if you are reading this, start looking at www.kentuckytourism.com for ideas! December is “Give a gift made in Kentucky” month! Generally speaking; gifts made here are one of a kind, of the highest quality and affordable!

Going to the Music City Bowl? How about staying at Barren River State Resort Park the night before and the night of the game……………cottages will be available but not the lodge! My plan is to stay in a cottage and then go to the game! Send in your other Holiday ideas for us to consider in the comments area below! “slow down, buckle up and get there in one piece” Link to Kentucky State Parks by clicking on my tourism link above.
