Beverage group: 18 mayors wrong on sugary drinks
Posted: 06/18/2013 - The American Beverage Association says efforts by the mayors of 18 cities to stop food stamps from being used to buy sugary drinks won't make the nation healthier.
Hope everyone had a super, (get it?) weekend! UK rolled and so did the snow for some of us. Talked to some peeps that had visited the Titanic exhibit at the Louisville Science Center Saturday, they couldn’t stop talking about how cool it was. More snow this week to BTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When will it end?
Valentine’s Weekend is here! Ky. State Parks, luxury hotels and all the great restaurants are put’n their best napkins and finery out for you guys! I checked this morning and still a few cottages and rooms remain at our nearby state resort parks. A few reservations can be had as well at some of central Kentucky’s landmark eateries. Go to www.kentuckytourism.com if you’re not going out, look into Kentucky’s wine, chocolate and specialty foods that are Kentucky Proud! Ky’s cheeses, breads and dips can help make a great Valentines date even better!
Each week I am going to add a bit of info that involves our agency here at Kentucky’s Dept. of Travel & Tourism. This week: We are part of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet. Also in the cabinet is The State Fair Board, The Ky. Horse Park, Fish and Wildlife, Ky. State Parks, and others. Go to http://commerce.ky.gov/ for more information!
Time to go…..remember “Buckle up, slow down and get there in one piece”
