Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
31 mins ago - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
We had a great weekend! Weather was terrific. I took a ride down to the regional “small” college tourney here in Frankfort and I also visited a local vineyard to pick up some wine; cause you know its spring! The tourney was cool, spoke to folks from Campbellsville, Georgetown, Pikeville and other spots in Kentucky! They enjoyed their time here! Sporting events do provide us with a great opportunity to see and experience other areas.
If you are travelling to the SEC men’s event in Nash’Vegas consider the following: DinoWorld, Barren River state resort park, National Corvette Museum and maybe a Distillery tour or two. Now, if you are going to the Girls Sweet 16! Look at Chaney’s Dairy, downtown Bowling Green restaurants, Mammoth Cave, Ky. Down Under and many more activities! ENJOY! The TRIP!
If you are interested in a stage performance, the Franklin County Drama Club will be performing “Beauty and the Beast” Thursday-Sunday at the High School. Come on over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Order your 2010 Official Visitors Guide is now available at www.kentuckytourism.com
It’ll look good on your coffee table or in your car as you traverse the Commonwealth!
Enjoy the Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Send in your Spring break photos and visit a state park or two!
