Word from the international BBQ festival in Owensboro was that there may have been record crowds! Wine, beer and Herb festivals throughout the state were terrific. Looks like the Friday night storms hurt the crowds in Eastern Ky. but Saturday there were big turnout number.
Mother’s day was fantastic. Went to Richmond and hung out with Mom. Happy Mother’s day again Dottie Stipes!!!!!!!!!!!! Speaking of Eastern Kentucky……I am on my way to Harlan, Hazard, Pikeville, Booneville, Salyersville, Ashland and I think maybe 12 other cities! Me and 5 others are traversing EasternKentucky to drum up publicity and support for the upcoming Kentucky Experience portion of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games! Remember the old whistle stop train tours? We are doing that format but with a van!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol If you are reading this from Eastern Kentucky and you see or hear that we’ll be in your town! Come on down and say hey! Consider a series of themed trips throughout the Commonwealth this summer! Trains, food, golf, historic, lakes etc……….I know, I know, I harp on this idea too much! But people, it’s really the way to go; goal oriented, structured (not too much) and cost efficient! I am doing the wine tour of many of the vineyards later this summer! Shocker I know!!!!!!!! Ha ha……….. Buckle up, slow down and get there in one piece”
