It would be simple for me to add a bunch of chatter about what the holidays mean to me and to tourism and to the health of this state. But you know; sometimes there is more than numbers, stats, occupancy rates and appreciated guests. I think of the family members and the suppliers that make it possible for us to enjoy the holidays and to entertain our family and friends. Think about it, for every wait staff person, person in the kitchen area and front desk attendant there is a family missing them and wishing they could be there at the
1pm dinner bell in their own homes.
Be thankful for all you have, even if you have less than before, be thankful for who you have, even if you have fewer than before.
Let’s try to…….. yes, spend some money and time enjoying Kentucky’s wonderful tourism and hospitality Industry partners. But let’s say a few extra thank you’s and Happy Thanksgiving’s and Merry Christmas’s and other Holiday Greetings! They go along way and they are not forgotten on those that wish they were in our shoes…………Home for the Holiday’s!
A simple message for those that get in a hurry, forget their manners and just need to slow down and enjoy a Thanksgiving weekend.
“buckle up, slow down and get there in one piece”
