As you all know I am the good news mouthpiece for the state tourism department.
I need ideas! Film and TV show location ideas!
As you all know I am the good news mouthpiece for the state tourism department.
But, I also have another position and one that really takes a lot of time, one that
has a big role in projecting our Commonwealth to the rest of the nation and world really
in a positive fashion. I am the director of the Kentucky Film Office which means
that I get to meet with producers of shows and films that sometimes yes; have a Kentucky
script inclusion, but; mostly the producers are looking for different locations
that will make their script’s pop.
For instance, we do more than just Horse movies and/or outdoor survival TV shows here.
I mean those are great, for sure, puts bread on the table, but we also attract
Food Network, Travel Channel, ESPN, NatGEO and other TV networks to the state.
These producers are interested in caves, distillery’s, farms, car plants and of course
our rolling hills and people. Right now, we have four Shows filming, and two motion pictures
ready to come in as soon as the weather gets warmer. My Question:
DO YOU KNOW OF ANY FILM FRIENDLY LOCATIONS THAT THE REST OF US
DON’T KNOW OF………? COOL OLD HOMES, FARMS, BARNS, HOSPITALS AND THE
LIKE! If so jot them down in the comment section and we’ll talk!
