Perry County cleaning up after flashing flood
Posted: 6:00 PM - Heavy rains caused major problems in the Perry County community of Big Creek, after flash flooding swept away cars and flooded an elementary school.
Northern Kentucky will be a buzz starting this Thursday. Not really a buzz but let’s say a “ROAR”. The engines of NASCAR are pulling in and setting up shop right now. Excitement and fun will be the key words. Last year’s Kentucky Speedway signature event was problematic yes………..traffic woes! This year millions in upgrades and design will make for a better experience for sure! Tickets are remaining, but they will be gone by Tuesday.
State Parks are gearing up for special events too. Check out www.parks.ky.gov Foot races, art shows, hikes, photo “how to” and more. Still the Ky. State Parks amaze with great food, locations and staff that care…………… Try a small hotel, B&B, Historic property or other non-typical stay this weekend. www.kentuckytourism.com
