The state fair gets going this week. So of course rain, heat and fried everything including butter, yes, fried butter will be on the menu. Remember the old days when you went to the state fair and saw a concert and rode a ride and laughed at the various degrees of clothing craziness that people thought was okay to wear to the fair?
We HAVE seen changes but not as many as you might think. The fair is still one of the great things in the state that for better or worse, stays the same. Ha.
I know several other state tourism spokespeople in the country and I can vouch for their statement ---cause they have told me. “Kentucky has one of the greatest lineups of fall festivals in the country”. I think probably because we have so much diversity with regard to our terrain, culture and scenic beauty. These variables allow us to host festivals that are agricultural, water related, horse related and music influenced. Don’t forget to reserve your fall color change beauty weekends now. Private and State Park cottages are the best in the fall. Golf, hiking and relaxing with family!
