Posted: 11/16/2009 - Last week served up many great Christmas events in the Bluegrass. Frankfort hosted their Candlelight Tours, lots of community happenings in Eastern Kentucky and the Somerset area too! Way to go if you visited any of those like I did!
Posted: 11/09/2009 - The Breeders Cup, although not in Kentucky this year was a success, it’ll be here next here, Hooray! Frankfort’s Annual Candlelight Tours begin this Thursday and continue through the weekend. The State’s Arsenal Museum is reopening just in time for Veteran’s Day celebrations!
Posted: 11/02/2009 - This past weekend we experienced some rain, but the latter part of the weekend was terrific! Trick or Treating was fun, not much tricking though; just fun with friends and good food! Wasn’t Saturday great 4 U too?
Posted: 10/26/2009 - I think this weekend kicks off the holidays in a big way! Of course there is football but there is a bunch of Halloween 5k run/walk events all across the Bluegrass! Great one in Frankfort! Halloween corn fields, festivals and other events really can entertain the family for little money and impress the out of towners too!
Posted: 10/12/2009 - I stopped over at Keeneland on Saturday! Great day was had! Yes, a little chilly but hey its Fall. Thanks to Julie at Keeneland for telling me that Charlize Theron was on the property, but NO she couldn’t introduce me! Dang It! Natural Bridge was buzzing this past weekend as was Jenny Wiley State Resort Park!
Posted: 10/05/2009 - Pretty good weekend we had this past don’t ‘ya think? Weather held off and then Sunday was great!!!!!!!!! The fall festivals are in full swing, the leaves are changing and the State Parks are filling up!

Posted: 08/24/2009 - The Kentucky State fair continues this week, actually it runs through Sunday to be exact! This past weekend may have set an all time record for opening weekend attendance at the fair. Preliminary estimates for Friday and Saturday look like huge numbers for the fair! Good news for the States economy!

Like the time me and my fraternity brothers went to see Hank Williams and Willie Nelson in 1984 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s all I can say! Updated: 08/03/2009 - The World’s Longest Yard Sale kicks off officially this Thursday, but it will be up and running by Tuesday I am sure………..early birds………..gotta love ‘em! The US 127 yard sale begins in Northern Kentucky and ends in Gadsden, Alabama.
Posted: 07/27/2009 - Man, this past weekend was great….sure we had a little rain but all in all it was terrific! As I mentioned last week, my family had a big reunion and it turned out perfect. Thanks again to all that travelled into Kentucky for the big event.

Posted: 07/13/2009 - Just the other day when I got off of a radio show in Louisville the host was complaining about the hot weather. I about smacked him….lol. It was only a couple of months ago that he was saying he couldn’t wait for hot weather! My point is; let’s enjoy the hot scorching temps and find a lake, pool, pond or whatever if we need to cool off.
Posted: 07/06/2009 - What a shame the 4th ended up being nasty. Kinda chilly, wet and well, just bad! You may have been out in it, hopefully everyone was able to make the most of the poor conditions and enjoy themselves! I played golf on Friday- went to a cookout on Saturday and had a little fun on Sunday too!
Updated: 06/29/2009 - We are officially in the midst of the Summer season! I love it all; grilling, the lake, golf, swimming and all that goes with the hot sun and late evenings! As we are visiting this week, oh, by the way I’ll be doing my monthly noon show appearance on Wednesday, tune in to WKYT for the 12-1pm noon news! Back to us; be ready to give me some ideas for July 4th events that you know of that need some publicity!

Posted: 06/15/2009 - First, I want to tell you what a great Saturday I had over in Danville at The Great American Brass Band Festival. I drove over Saturday around 1pm and stayed for a couple of hours. Huge crowds, lots of fun, really was great to see all the out of state license plates!
