Beverage group: 18 mayors wrong on sugary drinks
Posted: 11:47 PM - The American Beverage Association says efforts by the mayors of 18 cities to stop food stamps from being used to buy sugary drinks won't make the nation healthier.
UK coach John Calipari will fly to Los Angeles on Thursday where he will meet with representatives of gaming giant EA Sports. Calipari is scheduled for a live Twitter session, alongside Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash.
According to the EA Sports web site, the coach joins the likes of Serena and Venus Williams, Madden 10 cover boys Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Palamalu, and several Pittsburgh Steelers players, for a week of live online conversation.
Calipari already has become a local Internet sensation, attracting more than 13,000 followers on his official John Calipari Twitter page.
While in LA, Calipari is scheduled for a video/photo/commercial shoot to support one of EA Sports' college basketball games.
Calipari has a busy weekend scheduled. In addition to his west coast trip, the coach returns to Memphis on Friday, then will attend the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
EA Sports is one of the world leaders in video game production. It's Madden football games are the world's best-selling. EA Sports had over $4 billion in revenues last year.
