UK coach John Calipari is spending much of Thursday in Los Angeles, where he is promoting his basketball program and meeting with EA Sports.
Calipari, along with Suns guard Steve Nash, were featured in a live online chat. Calipari, on his Twitter account, says Nash gave him some suggestions on the pick and roll.
A UK contingent, including athletics director Mitch Barnhart, accompanied Calipari to LA.
Later, Calipari was on set shooting a 60-second commercial for the video game maker, in advance of their College Basketball 2010 game release. EA Sports says Calipari will not be featured on the box cover, but he will be prominent in the video game. The company says the box cover will feature some of the college game's best players.
Calipari now joins EA Sports' roster, a who's who in sports, including Tiger Woods, Shaq, the Williams sisters and others.
The UK coach flies to Memphis on Friday, then heads to the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
Those are the highlights... Stay tuned.
