Ky. to receive $6 million from online gambling case
Posted: 06/19/2013 - Gov. Steve Beshear says Kentucky will receive a settlement of more than $6 million from a case involving online gambling.
John Calipari apparently is a fan of the NFL. Specifically, he's a fan of his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers.
That's why on Thursday, the UK coach is expected to visit the Steelers at their Latrobe, Pa. training camp.
Calipari grew up in Moon Township, a suburb of the Steel City. According to the Pittsburgh Times, the team is expecting Calipari's arrival, which was arranged by wide receivers coach Randy Fichtner, who was the receivers/quarterbacks coach at Memphis from 1990-93.

Calipari also is expected to visit with former UK great and future Hall of Famer Dermontti Dawson, who is now an intern in the Steelers' scouting department.
Dawson, who still lives in Lexington, is participating in a 10-day internship with the team. Dawson tells the Steelers' web site that he's wanting to learn as much about scouting as possible.
"Football is my first love," Dawson tells Steelers.com. "I have been talking about it for a while and now I am at a point with my kids and my wife's career that I can travel and do it. Kevin (Colbert) and them invited me to come up and do the scouting internship so here I am."
Dawson says he hated training camp as a player, but is excited to return in his quest to become a scout.
"When I was coming up here and I had my car packed, the good thing was I knew I didn't have to go out and practice. With our meetings, once we have film evaluation after practice, we are done for the day. I don't mind coming to practice when I don't have to practice."
Those are the highlights... Stay tuned.
