John McDonald, an infielder for the Giants, hit a home run on Sunday, his first at-bat since burying his dad last week.

On Friday, John McDonald, a utility-infielder for the San Francisco Giants, buried his father.  Jack McDonald died last Tuesday after a battle with liver cancer.
