Coach John Calipari and his Wildcats have a heart. Beginning Friday, the Cats will be sporting blue t-shirts, emblazoned with a blue and white basketball and the words "Kentucky Cares," as a show of support for the victims of last week's tornadoes.

The Wildcats open play at the SEC tournament on Friday and will start wearing the shirts during pregame warm-ups. Already, Cal has donated $10,000 to Kentucky Cares, a partnership to help raise money for the Red Cross. The coach challenged other UK fans to match his money.

The tornadoes, which struck western and eastern Kentucky, killed nearly two dozen people.

Also on Friday, during the second round of the SEC Tournament, viewers tuning into the games on WKYT will have a chance to donate to the Red Cross. Coaches Brian Lane, Donnie Tyndall and Matthew Mitchell will bring their teams into the WKYT studios to answer phones and take pledges for those affected by the twisters.

Tune in. Call in. Donate.
