There is still no word from UK on when Wildcat forward Jon Hood will undergo surgery to repair his torn ACL.
The junior from Madisonville suffered the knee injury on Monday during a pick-up game.
UK coach John Calipari says it's possible Hood will redshirt the 2011-12 season. In an interview with ESPN's Andy Katz, Calipari says, "We'll see how it goes. It's a possibility. It might help him."
Calipari says Hood would benefit from working out against a group of incoming freshmen that are the No. 1 ranked class in the country.
Marquis Teague, Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Kyle Wiltjer are currently on campus, preparing for their freshmen seasons at UK.
Hood played in 33 games last season for the Cats, averaging four minutes and one point per game.
