Former Wildcat big man Daniel Orton has spent more time in the Orlando Magic weight room lately than on the basketball court, according to a recent story in the Orlando Sentinel.

Orton had a miserable Summer League, prompting some to question the wisdom in taking Orton in the first round, considering he averaged only three points in limited playing time at Kentucky.

Still, at 6-foot-10, and possessing a shot blocker's mentality, Orton enters his rookie season wondering if he'll play for the Magic or their D-League team.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Magic are concerned about Orton's surgically repaired knee, specifically, adding strength around the knee for added support.

Orton says it's hurtful to watch from the sidelines, but knows it will be a lengthy process to get back.
