If you’re a fan of UK sports, then this Saturday is wall-to-wall Big Blue coverage on WKYT and CWKYT.

Beginning at noon, it’s Joker Phillips and the football Wildcats taking on Georgia.  UK is in desperate need of a win, but will be hard pressed to find one on the road, between the hedges at Sanford Stadium.

The Cats are coming off that awful performance at Vanderbilt, while the Dogs destroyed Auburn and are narrowing in on an SEC East title.

Then at 7 p.m., it’s John Calipari and Co. taking on Penn State in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament, from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncansville, Conn.

When that game is complete, flip over to CWKYT, where Big Blue Encore airs at 9 p.m.   On this edition of Encore, we revisit the 1987 game between No. 12 Oklahoma and UK.  Billy Tubbs’ teams were known for their break-neck style and that season, the Sooners were led by a couple of pros – Stacey King and Harvey Grant.
