The move became an overnight sensation and made John Wall a household name across the college basketball landscape.
Today, the “John Wall Dance” has its own Wikipedia page.
From the moment the former Wildcat guard flashed the move, during the 2009 Big Blue Madness, the dance was copied by UK fans and featured on YouTube , and even featured in a couple of rap videos.
Troop 41 even penned a song about the dance – “Do the John Wall.”
Other iconic dances, like the Twist and the Moonwalk, are mentioned in the online encyclopedia, but none have their own page.
But then again, Wall was unlike any point guard UK fans have ever seen before, either.
