Ky. to receive $6 million from online gambling case

With UK’s 77-62 win over Ole Miss on Saturday, the Wildcats ran their home court win streak to 50. Coach John Calipari has never lost in Rupp Arena, and with Vandy and Georgia the last two teams coming into the big house this season, it seems the Cats will run that streak to 52.
In this day, that’s one helluva streak.
But where does it rank on the all-time list?
My Google search didn’t turn up any “official” lists, but I did find this:
UK has the longest streak in history, when it won 129 consecutive games from 1943-55. The streak began in Alumni Gym and ended in Memorial Coliseum, when Georgia Tech knocked off the Cats, 59-58, on Jan. 8, 1955.
St. Bonaventure is second all-time, winning 99 straight at home between 1948-61.
UCLA, which once won seven consecutive national titles, is only the third school to reach the 90-plus plateau. The Bruins streak of 98 happened from 1970-76.
Rounding out the top five is Cincinnati (86 games), Arizona (81) and Marquette (81).
Ironically, the UConn women saw their 99-game home court winning streak end on Saturday, when St. John’s took down the Huskies, 57-56, at Gampel Pavilion.
