Posted: 8:23 PM Underclassmen have until April 24 to declare for the upcoming NBA Draft. Ohio State big man Jared Sullinger didn’t waste any time in saying he was returning to Columbus, following the Buckeyes’ loss to Kentucky.
After five of his players were selected in last year’s first round, all eyes are on John Calipari’s group of freshmen, including Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb. Who will stay? Who will go?
Posted: 1:24 PM When the basketball Wildcats take the Prudential Center floor on Friday night just a few minutes before 10:00 p.m., where they play Ohio State in an East Regional semifinal, there will be three freshmen in the starting lineup for the Cats.
Posted: 2:33 PM On Tuesday night in Rupp Arena, the Wildcats pulled out their first win of the year in a game decided by four points or less. UK’s 68-66 Senior Night win over Vanderbilt was thrilling, to say the least. UK fans watched as the Cats’ 13-point lead with 14:42 remaining evaporate as the game came down to the last few seconds.
Finally. The Cats found a way to win a close game.
That UK has lost five games this season on the last possession is amazing.
But what if the Cats had won those games?

Posted: 10:39 PM Former Wildcat Derrick Locke has never shied away from telling anyone within earshot what he wants to do now that his college days are over: Locke is bound and determined to play in the National Football League.
A message on Locke's Twitter account says: "just finished my career at UK...now working for the biggest interview of my life..NFL"

2011 is just around the corner, bringing the promise of a new year, a new season. But as 2010 fades from our rear view mirror, we pause to remember some who were giants in their era, all of whom wore the blue and white.
Posted: 11:07 PM A couple of weeks ago, WKYT.com posed the question, "What 10 Kentuckians do you think were the top newsmakers of 2010?"
Over a 5-day period, many readers voted, and as you might expect, the University of Kentucky is well represented, with five of the top 10 vote-getters.
Updated: 11:37 PM Former UK sports information guru Scott Stricklin must be as busy as Santa's helpers.
Already this week, Stricklin, now the athletics director at Mississippi State, has shipped two of his basketball team's big men back to Starkville, and is close to finalizing a deal that will keep his football coach in town.
Posted: 10:49 PM UK defensive end DeQuin Evans currently is preparing for his last UK hurrah, the BBVA Compass Bowl against Pittsburgh on Jan. 8. But UK fans might not know the REAL story, the back story on DQ.
Updated: 5:22 PM Nestled in the hills of the Santa Monica Mountains, just outside Malibu, near vineyards and multi-million dollar homes, sits Camp Kilpatrick. This is no summer camp, however. Instead, the dorms and offices, built in the ’60s, look and remind some of a state park. But the boys who attend Camp Kilpatrick aren’t there on vacation.
It’s where “Gridiron Gang” was filmed and the place UK defensive end DeQuin Evans learned to play football.
Posted: 12:31 AM How many times have we heard the cliche, “it’s a big game?”
I wish I had a dollar for every time.
For the football Wildcats, Saturday’s season finale in Knoxville represents one of the most important games in recent memory. It IS, as they say, a big game.
Posted: 5:52 PM This weekend, the Danville Admirals take their rightly place among the remaining postseason teams. It is late November, after all, and the state football championships are but a couple weeks away.
But they'll be without one of their most loyal supporters.
Posted: 12:30 PM Kentucky's Enes Kanter is ineligible, but Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker can play?
That's the question posed by CBSSports.com's Gregg Doyel.
