The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the NAIA Preseason Poll on Monday, October 26th. The Women’s Basketball Team barely missed the top 10, claiming 12th with 172 points. The Patriot Ladies ended last year with their best overall record in history, 29-5, ranked 11th, Mid-South Conference Tournament Champions, and in the Elite 8 in the NAIA National Tournament.

MSC rival Campbellsville is ranked 11th, just ahead of the Patriot Ladies. Union University took 1st in the rankings and will be the Patriot Ladies first home opponent on November 9th at 6:00 PM. The Patriots will also take on top 10 teams, Lee University, ranked 5th, and Lambuth University, ranked 9th, during pre-conference play.

The Patriot Ladies will begin their season with an exhibition game against East Tennessee State in Johnson City, TN at 1:30 PM on November 1st. November 5th begins the ladies regular season play in Vienna, WV against Ohio Valley University at 7:00 PM. This season’s home opener will be on November 9th against Union University, last season’s NAIA Tournament Champion, at 6:00 PM. Conference play begins on January 14th.
