The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the NAIA Preseason Poll on Monday, October 26th. The University of the Cumberlands Patriot Men’s Basketball program was ranked 14th with 191 points. The men ended last year with a final ranking of 11th, a record of 27-7, Mid-South Conference (MSC) Tournament Champions, and in the Sweet 16 of the NAIA Tournament.

MSC rival Georgetown took 5th in the ranking. The Patriots and Tigers were the only two Mid-South Conference (MSC) teams represented in the top 25. On November 28th the Patriots will take on top ranked Robert Morris in the MSC Classic.

The Patriots will kick off the season on Monday November 2, 2009 as they host Indiana University Southeast at 7:00 PM. Mid-South Conference play will begin on January 14th.
