MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway College is proud to announce a new scholarship program for talented female singers who enroll beginning in the Fall 2010 semester. The Midway Choral Scholars Program Scholarship will be awarded to up to twenty accomplished female vocalists per year who wish to continue serious vocal performance as they pursue their college degree. The scholarship award total will be up to $10,000 per year including any additional academic scholarships awarded.
"Midway College has a long musical history so adding a choral scholars program makes sense for us to attract some of the best vocalists to our campus," said Dr. William B. Drake, Jr., President of Midway College.
The College will begin accepting applications immediately with a deadline of April 1, 2010 to be considered for acceptance for the 2010-2011 academic year. Applicants must have:

* A High School or College GPA of 2.75 or better
* Be enrolled full-time in the Women's Day Program at Midway College (12 or more credit hours per semester)
* Complete a Choral Scholars Program Application
