Caitlin couldn’t be more excited to be back in the Bluegrass, her home state, reporting for WKYT. She comes to us from Terre Haute, Ind. where she reported for WTWO. During her time as a Hoosier she also filled in on the anchor desk for NBC 2 News Today.
Caitlin grew up in Northern Kentucky, but started her collegiate career right here in Lexington at the University of Kentucky. She ended up transferring to Northern Kentucky University where she kept busy reporting for the student newspaper, serving as president for the NKU chapter of Society of Professional Journalists and working as a production assistant at WKRC in Cincinnati.
She left the Queen City to get her first on-air experience at WTWO, and that brings her here where she’s dedicated to WKYT viewers. There’s a saying, “You can take the girl out of Kentucky, but you can’t take the Kentucky out of the girl.” Needless to say, Caitlin’s heart is with her family and that’s here in Kentucky. Plus, living in the Big Blue Nation isn’t a bad deal!
Outside of work Caitlin likes to read, craft and do anything outdoors.
