2 killed in multi-vehicle crash in Nelson County

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Two people are dead after a crash in Nelson County Friday evening.

State police say Tayseer Lewis, 34, of Brandenburg, was driving a pickup truck westbound on Ky. 245 (New Shepherdsville Road), when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and hit a Hyundai Elantra and a Ford Mustang.

The two people in the Mustang, Amber Tingle, 25, of Shepherdsville, and Billie Watts, 30, of Cox's Creek, had to be cut out by emergency crews. They were both taken to UofL Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

Lewis also had to be cut out of his vehicle, and was taken to UofL Hospital with serious injuries.

Toxicology results are pending and the accident is currently under investigation by KSP.
