RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Severe weather moving through the area Wednesday evening prompted EKU officials to stop a performance of the musical "Dirty Dancing" and evacuate the cast and audience.

An announcement during the traveling Broadway show's first act asked the cast to stop and leave the stage because of a tornado warning for the area.

After the cast left the stage, the audience in the 2,000-seat EKU Center for the Arts was evacuated into a basement.
