Get out and enjoy the weather today because this week will bring rain, possible snow, and a big temperatures swing.
It's another chilly morning to start out your Sunday. Temperatures are in the upper 20s yet again with a light wind and clear skies. These clear skies will stick around throughout the day allowing sunny skies to help warm up those temperatures. Highs by this afternoon/evening will reach into the mid to upper 50s making for a lovely mild day. By tonight, clouds will start to increase as will the wind.
Fairly mild to chilly conditions will begin your Monday as well, but overnight lows will have only gotten down into the upper 30s and lower 40s. Clouds skies and gusty winds will be prevalent throughout the day as we track our next rain maker in the forecast. Highs by the afternoon on Monday will range from the lower 50s in northern Kentucky to upper 50s and maybe even 60 in southern Kentucky. By the evening and overnight hours, showers increase across the the region from west to east.
This rain sticks with us into Tuesday morning before another break comes in the afternoon. Throughout Tuesday the cold front will have made it's way through dropping temperatures drastically. By Wednesday morning we could be dealing with a wintry mix and snow for your morning commutes. While we aren't expecting a lot of accumulation, this could cause a slow down on your way to work or school. By the latter half of the week, things dry back out and we try to rebound on temperatures, however, we will be sticking below average with our highs.
