LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Attorney General Jeff Sessions is planning to travel to Lexington Thursday to deliver remarks on the opioid epidemic.
Sessions is expected to hold a panel discussion with families of overdose victims at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
The discussion is scheduled for 2:55 p.m. while he will deliver a speech at 3:25 p.m.
Sessions has already made a Kentucky visit in January. He traveled to Louisville in January where he also delivered remarks on the opioid crisis.
Sessions said in his Louisville speech he expects overdose death tolls to continue to increase from 2016 numbers, and his office is looking for ways to reverse the trend.
