Chris Bailey's Forecast | Snow showers may cause travel issues

By  |

A Winter Weather Advisory is now out for much of central and eastern Kentucky tonight. This includes the Lexington metro.

Rounds of snow showers and squalls are working in from northwest to southeast and will continue overnight. Light accumulations are possible, with some local 1"-2" amounts. With temps dropping into the 20s, some slick spots will develop on area roads.

Skies become partly sunny on Wednesday with highs near 40. Temps really rebound on Thursday with partly sunny skies and thermometers hitting the low 50s.

Chilly showers move back in for Friday and Saturday, with the potential for a brief mix of precipitation. Chilly temps will be noted.

Another system is on the way early next week.
