Our run of chilly temperatures is about to take a turn toward the cold side of the thermometer.
A cold front arrives in town Thursday night, unleashing the coldest air of the fall season, so far.
Temps ahead of the front hit the 50s on Thursday, but will drop like a rock Thursday night. Most areas are deep in the 20s by Friday morning. Wind chills will be in the teens.
Friday will be sunny and cold with highs in the upper 30s to near 40. Gusty winds will make it feel much colder. We will see the 20s around by Friday evening with some low 20s by Saturday morning.
Clouds increase on Saturday with chilly showers arriving Sunday into Monday.
