Death investigation underway after body found in Pike County river

PIKE COUNTY, Ky, (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police have released the name of a man who was found dead in a river in Pike County.

Troopers told our sister station WYMT James Wolford, 52, of Jamboree, was found dead at Fishtrap Lake on Monday. The lake is part of the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River.

Troopers say when they first responded, they thought the call was for a drowning, but no cause of death has been determined at this time.

Foul play is not suspected and a death investigation is underway.
