MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - All lanes in both directions of I-64 have reopened after two people died in a crash Sunday afternoon.
The accident happened near the 104 mile marker in Montgomery County, near the Clark County line.
The Montgomery County Sheriff says a semi was slowing down when a pick-up truck rear-ended it.
Two people inside the truck were killed. The sheriff has not released their names or ages, but says it was a man and a woman.
Investigators do not know why the semi was slowing down or why the truck hit the back of it.
Lanes in both directions were closed for several hours while crews investigated.
