LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Some Kentucky residents say they are stranded after the only bridge they can use collapsed early Wednesday morning.
Viewers sent us photos from Letcher County where a bridge on Kentucky Highway 7 crossing a creek collapsed.
They say dozens have no way to cross the body of water, and crews are currently formulating a plan to allow those on the other side to cross.
Some in the area say the bridge began showing signs of damage during February flooding, and county workers filled gravel in an attempt to keep the bridge structurally sound.
Crews have not announced a timetable on allowing residents to be able to cross the creek.
