26-year-old Donathan Hurley from Phelps describes himself as a Survivor super-fan, and he says he is ready to show off his big personality to millions. He says his background as someone who was openly gay early in his life helped shape who he is today.

"The social dynamics is what's really going to help me because I've had to live through some rough times growing up and being out at such a young age, but it's made me a better person and I'm thankful I did it the way that I did. No regrets."

Hurley says he has to keep himself in check at times because he tends to wear his emotions on his sleeve.

"Definitely my biggest weakness is going to be this face," Hurley says, "I can't control it most of the time. Usually when something is on my mind it shows."

While he cannot release details about what happens this season, Hurley does say he hopes he makes an impact on viewers.

"The biggest thing I want people to remember me for is just being fabulous!" Hurley says, "I'm representing eastern Kentucky. It's a place that's very conservative so there's nobody really that's flamboyant like I am. So it's going to be awesome to represent a place where people don't think a character like me would come from."
