FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - A fifth person is now facing charges in connection with a deadly robbery in Frankfort.

21-year-old Kedrick Burton is accused of first-degree robbery.

Frankfort police arrested him following the death of Jared Banta. Police found Banta's body inside his car on Schenkel Lane on Dec. 27. They arrested four people following the crime.

On Tuesday around 11 a.m., officers arrested Burton after a traffic stop in Frankfort. Major Rob Warfel with the Frankfort Police Department said officers had been actively searching for Burton at the time of his arrest.

Brooke Kennedy, Cami Montgomery, and a juvenile face a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. Police charged a second juvenile with robbery.

Major Warfel says they're still working with the Commonwealth's Attorney Office. They will let a grand jury decide if further charges should be filed in the case.
