GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT)- Garrard County officials are asking for help after they say they took in 35 dogs after police discovered a woman in an animal hoarding situation.

The Garrard County Animal Shelter say they are now in "Code Red" and need donations to help support the 35 new dogs in the facility.

The shelter says they need bleach, crates, blankets, and food.

Police has not released any details in regards to the woman and the hoarding situation but officials say she gave the dogs up willingly and police are no longer involved with the situation.
