PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - A fire station in Eastern Kentucky was damaged when a car slammed into the building.
The crash happened Thursday morning at the Avawam Fire Station in Perry County.
Avawam Fire Chief Leonard Toler said the car slid on a patch of ice before crashing into one of the garage bays of the station, causing significant damage.
Officials say two teenage boys were on their way to school at Perry Central when the crash happened.
One of the boys was taken to the hospital as a precaution. He is expected to be OK.
